Class Action Lawsuit Against Samsung Refrigerators

In July of last year, the consumer advocate Consumer Reports filed a class-action lawsuit against Samsung refrigerators. In response to this report, the company ordered all of its consumers to participate in mediation, which may take months or even years. The judge is now working with both sides to find a solution that works for everyone. In January, the manufacturer filed a motion to dismiss the class action before mediation, denying that the defective ice makers are to blame.

The lawsuit is against Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and claims that the refrigerators allegedly contain harmful materials.

Despite the lawsuits, Samsung has denied the allegations. The company also makes smartphones, digital cameras, smartwatches, and smart TVs. The company provides these products and services worldwide. The class action was filed by Ronald Bianchi and others, who were unhappy with their Samsung refrigerators. It is now in its early stages.

The FTC and Samsung have entered into mediation, with the company pledging to compensate consumers. The class-action lawsuit against Samsung is a legal battle against the South Korean company, which marketed its products as more energy efficient. In response to these accusations, the company is facing thousands of consumers who have contacted the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Product Safety Commission. These consumers are claiming that the refrigerators were faulty and should be replaced or repaired.

The problem with Samsung refrigerators is so widespread that there are multiple class actions filed against the company.

Many consumers have complained that their refrigerators leak water under the drawers, which can cause food to spoil. There are Facebook groups dedicated to this issue with 63000 members. This class-action lawsuit against Samsung is pending and is expected to settle soon. If you bought a Samsung refrigerator and are dissatisfied with the quality, don’t hesitate to file a complaint.

In the meantime, you should contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Better Business Bureau. These agencies may be able to help you resolve your complaint. The FTC has found that many consumers have filed complaints against Samsung refrigerators. The FDA says that the company is liable to consumers for damages and must compensate them. The FDA has no role in the case, but it is aware of the numerous problems with the product.

The Samsung refrigerators that were recalled are currently the subject of a class-action lawsuit.

The problem has affected more than 20 models of Samsung refrigerators. The manufacturer has been unable to replace the ice makers or repair the problem. The only recourse for consumers is to file a class-action lawsuit. It’s important to note that a successful class-action case will be difficult for a company to settle.

The lawsuit is currently in the mediating stages. It targets Samsung refrigerators with external dispensers and those with faulty ice-making features. Cargill also claims that Samsung was negligent in addressing the problem, and she is still seeking a refund. Although a class action lawsuit isn’t likely to succeed shortly, it is worth filing a case for this reason. You’ll want to get a refund if you’re unhappy with your Samsung refrigerator.

The Samsung refrigerator is one of the most popular brands of refrigerators in the U.S., but some consumers have reported issues with the ice tray.

In addition, the ice tray can be unreliable, which can cause over-freezing, leaks, and excessive fan noise. In the past, the plaintiffs have been able to get a full refund for their lawsuits, which is a significant win for the consumer.

The class-action lawsuit against Samsung refrigerators has reached mediation. It is expected to start in June, but the attorney general’s office does not regularly identify investigations. Regardless of the outcome of mediation, both parties are still working to settle the lawsuit. It is the consumers’ choice to seek compensation, and there are no other viable options. The manufacturer’s settlement offers a full refund to those who purchased the refrigerators at full-service stores.

My mom’s ice maker has had the same leakage issues and recently overflowed… freezing the lever in the forward position. It continued to flow and freeze breaking plastic housing and prohibited door from closing. She lost her groceries and spent a week eating out until it totally unfroze, not to mention the shop up mess & work required!

Our Samsung model #RF263TEAESG PURCHASED IN 2017 from Lowes has had multiple problems with the ice maker and leaking issues. As of today 04/27/2022 we have had 6 service calls in 5 years, the latest call was due to water leaking into the deli drawer. The last visit the technician resealed the back wall and replaced the gaskets on the doors and well it is still leaking. We want to join the class action suit!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. I called Samsung service at least two times, The first time was told to defrost the refrigerator until the ice maker was defrosted. The second time Samsung replaced the ice marker completely. This has not fixed the problem, every four to six months I continue defrosting the ice marked if I want ice. I had to purchase a new ice box tray because the first one cracked from the ice maker freezing up. Water also freezes under the vegetable trays in the refrigerator when the ice maker freezes up.

How do I get included in this?

My 3 year old Samsung refrigerator has been chirping and not holding the freezer temperature. This started when it was barely 2 years old. I paid to have an expensive part replaced. Then it started again and stopped..now after months it started again..for almost a week and of course while I had company here. My home I bought 25 years ago in another state has a GE refrigerator that will not die, even though the handle is discolored from wear….so I would expect a new refrigerator would last longer than 2 years…so frustrating!

I purchased a four door Samsung Refrigerator for $4000 plus dollars and it only lasted three years. This year it stopped cooling. A certified Samsung technician replaced the compressor and evaporator. And, the refrigerator became the freezer and the freezer became the refrigerator. The water filter frozen, cracked, and ended up FLOODING MY ENTIRE HOUSE! Samsung Company does not want to admit that this particular refrigerator was a “lemon.”
