One of those services is the “membership site”. This member’s site contains all of the tools and information that you will need to manage your case, as well as resources and advice for doing so. From this member’s site, you may also register for online classes, take online surveys, file a claim, submit court documents, and/or request advice from attorneys. Additionally, in the privacy policy found on the site, you are given authorization to contact TASC’s legal team for questions and/or comments and to submit case files electronically.
If you were not a member of The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC), prior to August 3rd, you did not have access to any of this information which may be needed in order to make an informed decision about your case. Therefore, as soon as you became a member, you should visit the TASC website and visit the “Cancel Membership” link. Once you clicked this link, you were removed from the membership and given the option to either cancel your current account or request a refund. If you choose the option to cancel your current account, you will be required to fill out the Cancellation Form, provide the necessary proof of income and identity, and submit the requested refund check for the cost of the month-to-month service fee and the total charges incurred. However, if you choose to remain a member, you will be automatically enrolled in the “Unlimited Access” membership.
